The Daddy/Daughter dance was such a fun success!! There were so many laughs, lots of pictures, popcorn all over the place (remind me to not do popcorn bar again ha!) and just an overall good time! I am so thankful for such a great group of cheer girls, who I think enjoyed it just as much!

Gregory Mather, VHHS class of 1972, volunteered to create a stained glass replica of our logo. He enlisted his friend, Dave DeCamp, to make the lighted display box. The result is a beautiful piece of art. Today it was hung in the VHHS Commons at the high school to be enjoyed by students, staff, alumni, and visitors.
A piece of very important information that you may not know is that Greg was the fifth-grader who won the contest to name the new school district we know as Valley Heights!
Greg shared a few interesting facts about his time as a Valley Heights student. For the older BRHS grads and the early VHHS grads, Greg still uses the skills and the mechanical drawing set he used in Mr Brychta's mechanical drawing class. Pretty impressive, and surely Mr. Brychta would be pleased!
Other interesting facts..... His class was the last class to use the old BRGS before it was razed. The class of VHHS 1972 was the last class to use the old Waterville High School as a junior high. In addition, that class was the last class to use the old Blue Rapids High School buildings.
We are so grateful to Mr. Mather for this amazing addition to our high school, and invite you to stop by and take a look at his amazing craftsmanship!
