“Perseverance” is the name selected for the new Mars Rover. Over 28,000 students, including Mrs. Laughlin’s seventh grade science students, had the chance to write a persuasive essay to try and convince NASA to select their rover name. Perseverance will be launched this year and is designed to look for microbial life on Mars. Here is a link to follow the story. https://www.jpl.nasa.gov/news/news.php?feature=7612
