
The 6th Grade Leadership Team organized a Food Drive Competition at the Blue Rapids grade school. In 4 days, the school collected over 700 food items for the local Food Bank. The winning team was Mrs. Williams’ 3rd grade class.


Nemaha-Marshall Electric Coop is offering two free trips this summer for two area juniors. One is to Washington DC and the other to Steamboat Springs, CO. For more information, please call the school by December 6th.

Mustang Magic Drill Team is hosting a Kiddie Clinic for K-6th grade. Practice and the performance will be December 20th. The cost is $20 per child which includes a shirt! For more details and to sign up email kasmith@valleyheights.org

Colts Round-Up had a special guest today! Thanks for the great program Sluggerrr! It was a Home Run!

Thanks to the apps ‘shopkick’ and ‘Givling’, they have awarded FACS teacher Mrs. Pacha a check for $10,000 that can go towards student loans! Seth from Givling presented the check in front of the student body this morning! Randomly drawn out of thousands of users, Mrs. Pacha is very lucky!


Blue Rapids students had the honor of listening to Veteran and Alumni Tommy Tryon present about his time in the Kansas Army National Guard.





The start time for the Junior High basketball games in Linn on Thursday has changed due to gym issues in Linn. the games will start at 4:00pm. The games will be in the following order: B girls / B boys / A girls / A boys all in one gym.

Valley Heights Colts Booster Club will have its first meeting tonight at 6pm in the Waterville Grade School library. Any parent of a Pre-K thru 6th grade student is welcome and encouraged to attend. Hope to see you there!

Tommy Tryon shared about his experiences in the Army National Guard with Waterville Elementary students today for our Career Wednesday Program.



Elementary students were able to have a sneak peek at the high school play today. Gone with the Breeze will be performed at the Waterville Opera House Nov. 15 & 16 at 7:30 PM and Nov. 17 at 2 PM.

Mrs. Crowther and Mrs. Koehler’s 5th Grade Classes visited Blue Rapids Senior Living to interview local Veterans and present them with acrostic poems we made. Several kids are bringing home acrostic poems for family members who are veterans. We send our sincere thanks to all Veterans for their service.

Robotics Finals: Gates and Kaitlyn placed 8th at the tournament along with choosing the second highest scoring Valley Heights team, Chase and Sam, to join them in their alliance! Congratulations to all the teams who competed today. They fought hard every round!
