Mrs. Woodyard's first graders did a virtual rollercoaster ride and made a story plan about it. They learned how to help calm their bodies. Then we were able to have some fun and stretch out words in the dark!

REMINDER: Due to the Thanksgiving Day Holiday this month, the Reach Out Food Pantry in BR will be open this Saturday, Nov. 22, but closed on the Nov. 29. Serving Valley Heights families 9am-10am Nov. 22 at the Methodist Church in Blue Rapids.

Beginning Sunday, December 7, the Blue Rapids Gym will be open for Valley Heights community to shoot, work on their ball handling, or play basketball to hone their skills.
Elementary students grades 3 - 6 will have the gym from 1--2:00, & 7th grade - adult will have gym access from 2:00 - 3:00.
Students in grades 3 - 6 must have a parent/guardian accompany them. Clean Basketball or tennis shoes must be worn when on the court. All participants must abide by school behavior standards or you will be asked to leave and not return.
The following dates will be open gym:
December: 7, 14
January: 4, 11, 18, 25
February: 1, 8, 15, 22

There will be a Washington D.C. parent meeting Tuesday evening, November 18th, at 6:30 pm in Mr Nolte's room for any student in the 8th or 9th grade, that is interested in going to the nations capitol.
