#SchoolsThatCare and the VH community coalition teamed up with students in Mrs. Pacha’s class today to make popcorn balls for Fall Festival in Blue Rapids on Sun. 4-6pm. Thanks to donors who provided groceries and to the volunteers who popped popcorn! #teamworkmakesthedreamwork

The second grade classes learned about sculptures today during their picture lady visit. We appreciate Mrs. King and The Shakespeare Club!

In Mrs. Woodyard's class the kids ended the week with show and tell and learning about the past by photographs!

1. School safety starts at the bus stop. 🚌 🛑 Share these tips with your children:
⌚ Arrive at the bus stop five minutes early.
🚏 Stand five giant steps away from the curb.
🚌 Wait until the bus stops, the door opens, and the driver says it’s okay before stepping onto the bus.
👁️ Be sure the bus driver can always see you, and you can see the bus driver.

Imagine teaching a class of 50 or more kids in an 8' X 30' room, now turn your back on them, now drive that classroom down the highway! This is why bus rules are important and why we take our jobs seriously! Help us stay safe by talking to your students about bus rules and helping keep everyone safe, in the bus and outside!

Remember to Join Valley Heights 21st CCLC Colt's Round-Up and Camp Exploration for #LightsOnAfterschool, Thursday, October 23, 5:30 - 6:30 at the Waterville Grade School! We'll celebrate how we are "Making Connections" in afterschool with Halloween Paper Circuits. Join us for a make and take activity with your student(s)! #AfterschoolWorks

Please join the Valley Heights Site Council meeting this evening at 6:30 pm in the Library at Waterville Grade School. Mr. Spoonts is going to give a presentation on the history of enrollment at Valley Heights. We are also going to go over state assessment results and other exciting things happening in the District. All are welcome to attend. Thanks!

Mrs.@Miranda Woodyard’s 2nd grade learned to be responsible for their thoughts and to be respectful! We practiced positive words while looking in the mirror and saying them to others. Positive words build confidence and self-esteem. We will be respectful to ourselves and others.
