Mrs. Heinen recognized Matthew for demonstrating the VHS qualities and is so happy to have him as part of her class. He comforted a fellow student who was upset and reassured him everything was going to be okay. Way to value others!
Huge shout out to Tyler Holmes and Langston Gray! Tyler is the 8th grade league champion after running a great time at the BVL meet. Langston ran well and placed 2nd in the 7th grade division at the BVL cross country meet. Congratulations and way to represent Valley Heights!

Reminder: Marshall County Health Dept will have Flu Shots available for Elementary Staff and Students TOMORROW, Thursday, October 12. If you would like your child to receive a flu shot, please complete and return the consent form tomorrow morning.
Also, Flu Shots will be available for Jr. High and High School Staff and Students next Thursday, October 19.

The start time for the JH football game vs Clifton Clyde tomorrow is being moved to 5:00 PM in an attempt to avoid poor weather.
Juniors and Seniors attended the college fair at Marysville High School Tuesday. There were over 40 postsecondary schools represented and students were able to explore many opportunities available after high school. Schools from Kansas and Nebraska had representavies there.
Mark your calendar for this year's Fall Festival. Sunday, October 29th at 6:00 pm; costume contest is at 7:30 pm. Come and enjoy all the fun!
The Blue Rapids United Methodist Church is sponsoring a Lego Fair on Wednesday, October 25th. Opens at 5:00 pm to setup displays with supper at 6:30 pm. See attached!
