Nemaha Central takes the match winning the second set 21-25.

The Mustangs lose the first set to Nemaha Central 19-25.

The HS girls drop their first set against Concordia 18-25, 25-13, 27-29. Next match will be against Nemaha Central.

Students in Mrs. Meadows' class learned about The Ring of Fire this week in science class. They plotted volcanoes around the world and discussed their thoughts on if a volcano could pop up in their backyard.


The sixth graders were trained for crosswalk duty this week in Blue Rapids. Please be on the lookout for children crossing the streets before and after school. Thank you again to our amazing 6th graders for their leadership and help in keeping all kids safe!!!


Second graders have been working on 'Target Practice' to make a 10!





Miss Judy, former Waterville Elementary custodian, blessed the Waterville staff with Sonic drinks! In return, the Waterville staff gifted Judy with gift cards to thank her for her 10 years of service at Valley Heights! Once a Mustang, Always a Mustang!


Schools That Care needs help re-stocking the bus with school supplies and hygiene supplies! You can help while supplies are on sale now. Donations baskets to drop off school supplies and hygiene supplies are located at each school, local banks and DG in BR. #makeadifference


Preschool and kinderprep students have been working hard this week!



Brax Martin received a positive office referral, Value Honor Success (VHS) ticket, from Mrs. Meadows. He helped 2 other classmates that were struggling with their assignment. Way to go Brax!!!


High School Sports pictures (football, volleyball, and cross country)will be taken August 28th during practice. Students, please remember your uniforms. Order forms are available with your coaches, at the HS office, or online.


Blue Rapids Food Pantry is open this Saturday, Aug. 26 9am-10am to serve families in the Valley Heights Community who need assistance putting food on their family table.


The start time of tomorrow's football Jamboree will be moved to 8:00 pm.

Colts PTO will have their annual meeting August 23rd at 6PM at the Blue Rapids Grade School library. If you have students in the elementary schools and would like to help out with the PTO this school year, please attend this meeting!
