There will be no Colt's Round-Up after school on Wednesday, December 8 because of the Elementary program or on Thursday, December 9 because of Santa's Gift Shop.
Second grade read about Helen Keller last week. Mrs. Lila Swearengin taught the kids all about Braille. She showed them how to use a Braille typewriter, a book, and what their names look like in Braille!

This is a reminder: The Valley Heights Elementary Christmas music program has been moved to Wednesday, December 8th at the Blue Rapids gym at 7:00 pm for Kindergarten through 6th grade.
Dec. 7 & 8, there will be a small pop-up shop for grade school students to shop for dress-up clothes for their Christmas Programs! The shop will be in the BR gymnasium. Items available first come, first served. Contact the Family Advocate to locate a specific size, 612.202.7366

Winter Formal has been moved to January 29th, with the King and Queen of Courts taking place at half-time of the high school boys basketball game on Jan. 28th. It was originally scheduled for Dec. 18th, but due to family Christmas celebrations and conflicts, we are rescheduling for January. This will allow more of our students to enjoy the evenings and still be able to attend family Christmases.
