Tomorrow, Friday May 9th, is our annual Charles Steele Play Day! Attached is the schedule for the day. K-6 activities will take place at the Valley Heights High School. Preschool and Kinder Prep events will be at the Waterville Grade School from 10:00-11:00 am for the morning sessions and 12:20-1:20 for the afternoon sessions.
Please have your child wear athletic clothing and tennis shoes. New this year will be an inflatable obstacle course, and students cannot use it if they have buttons on their clothing. They will need a water bottle. It would be good to put sunscreen on them as well, as the teachers may not have any with them. Families are welcome to attend and watch their student participate! School lunch is provided as usual and will be served to students at the track.

Ben Miller sets a new BVL record in the 200m hurdles with a time of 30.63. The old record was 32.16 from 2024.
Langston Gray set a new BVL record yesterday in the 1600m with a time of 4:50.81. The old record was set in 1994 by B Sigle from Riley County with a time of 4:55.5.

Valley Heights is hosting the BVL Track Meet! Come out and support our JH track and field athletes in their last meet of the year!
The Valley Heights Golf Team traveled to Onaga today. Jayden DeWalt finished the day in 3rd place. The team is gearing up for their last regular season tournament this Thursday and post season over the next few weeks.
It was a big day out at the Jr. Sr. High, as we had our future 7th grade class visit this morning! The students took in a lot of new information to get them ready to be in the next school year. Thanks to some of our Senior KAY members for being excellent tour guides.
