Adjusted VHHS Final Schedule for Monday, 5/18 1st Block (1st period final): 8:05-9:25 2nd Block (2nd period final): 9:30-10:45 3nd Block (3rd period final): 10:50-12:05 12:10-12:35- Jr High Lunch/HS Seminar 12:35-1:00- HS Lunch/Jr High Lunch 1:00 District-wide dismissal due to inclement weather forecasted

Harvesters will be serving the WV community on Tuesday, May 19, at the WV Methodist Church. Food distribution will begin around 11 am. First Come First Served. The "care bus" will not be available this time but will be at Waterville Nikel Days on Saturday!

Due to the threat of severe weather forecasted for tomorrow afternoon, Valley Heights USD 498 will dismiss school at 1:00 PM on Monday, May 18, to help ensure the safety of our students and staff. Lunch will still be served prior to dismissal. Please note: All school facilities will close at 1:00 PM. Any schedule changes or updates to evening activities will be communicated separately. The 2:00 PM game in Topeka is still scheduled as planned at this time. We appreciate your understanding and support as we work to keep our students, staff, and families safe. Go Mustangs!

BRES held their annual student/staff basketball game. Age group 50 and over had to stretch before starting. Coach Meadows (for the students) was influencing Ref Joseph with a foul call! Mrs. Reinecke was named MVP by Coach Z. There were no broken bones and fun was had by all!

There are still a few items unclaimed in Lost and Found at the Blue Rapids Elementary School. Check out the photo and notify the office at BRES to claim your students items. Thanks!

Here are some more pictures of students presenting their Famous Kansan presentation today. They did such a wonderful job!

After learning all 50 states, capitals, and regions, the fourth graders created salt-dough maps of the United States! This is phase one of the project. Once the maps dry, students will paint them to represent the different regions of the country.

6th Graders conquered 298 stairs to the top of the Capitol Dome!!

The 4th graders presented their Famous Kansan writing pieces today. Students dressed up and portrayed their Famous Kansan in Wax Museum style!

Admission for the TVL Track Meet today is $5 for everyone. The track meet starts at 1 p.m. at the high school.
